Anchors Aweigh!" Holiday Boat Parade in Coral Springs.

Just came across this press release for the Coral Springs Boat Parade.  I love Boat Parade Season!

The City’s annual Holiday Parade will set sail on Wednesday, December 14 at 7 p.m. and will feature decorated floats and other entries with a nautical theme. SpongeBob SquarePants will be appearing courtesy of Nickelodeon and Advanced Cable Communications.  The floats will proceed along Sample Road from Coral Springs Drive to City Hall.

Participants are encouraged to celebrate the nautical theme and to enter trailered and decorated boats. Awards will be given for both non-profit and business entries. Entry guidelines and height restriction information is available in the Participant Guide online.

Traditionally, the parade draws thousands of spectators and more than 60 floats, bands and walking groups. All groups, including local schools, civic organizations, and businesses are welcome to participate.

Spectators should plan to make a night of it, as businesses along the parade route are encouraged to stay open the night of the holiday parade to serve those watching the parade. Sponsorships are now available and are a great way to promote your business to thousands of local consumers.

Please note that Sample Road west of University Drive and east of NW 110th Avenue, and Coral Springs Drive north of NW 29th Street and south of NW 37th Street, will be closed on the night of the parade from 5 p.m. until approximately 10 p.m.
